Goldberg is one of the greatest of all times, a legendary wrestler to talk about. His matches are a thing of absolute charisma and a thing of beauty to watch and cherish.
The loud roar of “Goldberg……..Goldberg” will be reverberating all around
the stadium during his match.
William Scott Goldberg (born December 27, 1966) is an American
professional wrestler, actor, and former football player. He is currently
signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Goldberg
and is the current WWE Universal Champion in his second reign. He was ranked No. 2 of the top 500 singles wrestlers in the PWI 500 in
1998. He is also best
known for his time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He has acted in
various films and television shows, including Universal Soldier: The Return
(1999) and NCIS: Los Angeles. You guys should go watch his films,
it's really great.
Following WCW's closure in 2001, Goldberg even wrestled for All Japan
Pro Wrestling (AJPW) between 2002 and 2003, now you can clearly see his passion
and love for wrestling, and for WWE between 2003 and 2004, becoming a one-time
World Heavyweight Champion in the latter. After twelve years away from the company, he returned to WWE in 2016 and won the WWE Universal Championship for
the first time in February 2017 and won it a second time in February 2020.
Goldberg has headlined multiple pay-per-view events for WCW and WWE, including
twice closing WCW's premier annual event, Starrcade. He was inducted into the
WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018 the weekend of WrestleMania 34.
Before he was a professional wrestler, Goldberg was a professional
football player. He has made a great image in American Football too. He did even used his epic weapon The Spear in Football too.
What a true legend, that’s why he is an inspirational and multi-sport Athlete. After first retiring from professional wrestling in 2004,
he began working as a commentator for the mixed martial arts promotion EliteXC
until its closure. Man his commentary was super cool and energizing similar to
his attitude and style in the ring.
Goldberg has one of the deadliest moves in the history of WWE. It is the Jack Hammer. Nobody has countered this epic move.
After Goldberg retired the WWE couldn’t find a replacement for him and
even Vince pushed Ryback to take his position. Trying to replicate WCW's
success with Goldberg, WWE began pushing Ryback in 2012 in a similar manner to
Goldberg, leading to the portmanteau of "Ryberg" to be devised by
fans and commentators for Ryback. In October 2012, after Ryback used the
Jackhammer move used by Goldberg during a match against Kofi Kingston, Goldberg
would respond by stating, "now comparisons offend me". Spectators at
WWE events had been chanting "Goldberg" during Ryback's matches from
2012, which Ryback said "never bothered. The fans, however, couldn’t replace
his Legacy in their minds, that’s why Vince tried to reach out to the legend back
again on his terms into the ring.
Goldberg is all set to enter into the Grandest stage of all times, The WrestleMania 36 with a new opponent. Since Roman Reigns is not able to compete there will be a new worthy opponent. It will really be a show-stopper match. I truly believe that Goldberg is going to be the best part of this year's WrestleMania.
WWE has not yet confirmed who's gonna replace The Big Dog, I think it might be The Monster Among Men, Braun Stroman.
Roman has already confirmed that he has finally taken a decision for his family.
