Latest: The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC Exam Calendar for the year 2020-21. Candidates are advised to check the exam dates and apply before the last date.
- SSC JE Exam is a highly competitive examination conducted for filling in positions under Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Quantity Surveying & Contracts branches under various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India.
- The Junior Engineer posts are categorized under Group B (Non-Gazetted) having a monthly salary ranging between Rs 35400 - Rs 112400 in the pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.
- As per the SSC JE Exam Dates 2020, the first stage of Recruitment is an online exam that is scheduled in the month of March 2020.

SSC JE Exam Date 2020
The
exam dates for SSC JE 2019-20 have been released by SSC along with its Official
Calendar 2019-20. As per the notification, the Tier-I
exam was scheduled to be conducted from 30th March to 2nd April 2020 but due to complete lockdown in India, all exams are
postponed including the SSC JE Paper-I exam. The new exam dates will be added

overall Vacancies for SSC JE 2019-20 exam has not been declared yet by the
Staff Selection Commission of India. A total of 1601 vacancy has been declared for SSC JE 2018-19 Exam. Let's have a look

SSC JE 2020 Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay Rs. 100/- as their application fee for SSC JE 2019-20 Exam. Female Candidates, Ex. Servicemen and Candidates belonging to reserved categories are exempted from paying the application fee for SSC JE 2020 Exam. The fee can be paid both online (net banking/debit card/credit card) and offline (e-challan).
SSC JE 2020 Exam Pattern
SSC JE 2020 Exam will be conducted in two phases. Paper 1 will be of 200 marks and paper 2 will be of 300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2
are Multiple Choice Questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for
every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both the papers. According to
the recent Exam Pattern, candidates appearing for the post of JE (Civil), JE
(quantity surveying & contract) should attempt Part A (Civil &
structural) of paper I & II.
On the other hand,
candidates appearing for JE (electrical) need to attempt Part B (electrical)
& the candidates appearing for JE (mechanical) need to attempt Part C
(mechanical) of Paper I & II.

SSC JE Cutoff 2020 Tie Breaker
SSC Cut off marks are decided by the organization according to category wise. If two or more candidates avail the same SSC JE Expected Cut-offs 2020 then the tie will get the break on the basis of total marks in the written test, Marks in Paper-I, Marks in Paper-II, Date of birth, with older candidates, placed higher, the Alphabetical order in the candidate’s first names.
SSC JE Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of SSC JE includes – Paper 1 and 2 exams. Candidates qualifying Paper 1 will have to appear for Paper 2. Candidates will be shortlisted for appointment by the commission on the basis of total marks secured by candidates in SSC JE Paper I and II and preference of posts.
